We have been really grateful to local charities supporting Alfe's Cause this year. Walk for a Cause http://www.walkforacause.org.uk/index.htm presented us with a cheque for £1500 earlier on in the year. Pictured above is Alfe receiving the cheque and yesterday Sporting Bears http://www.sportingbears.org.uk/ invited us to their event where the families got to be driven around Rockingham Race Track in lots of different cars. Alfe said it was a day he would remember forever.

Last year Alfe's Cause were honoured to be awarded runners up in the Fundraiser of the Year category of Pride in Northamptonshire awards. Applications to be nominated for 2012 close on the 7th September and it would be fantastic if some of you nominated Alfe's Cause in the Care in the Community catergory or Alfe and Sophie-Mae as Young Achievers. This recognition would hopefully raise our profile so that more families know who we are and can access us.
