Where did the time go?

It's been a while since our last post but lots has been happening. On the 2nd May Alfe, his sister Sophie-Mae and Morgan went with the Trustees to meet the blood donor people and were really fascinated by all what happened. We are doing another blood drive in August to raise awareness of why giving blood is so important. Alfe alone had 7 blood and 5 platelet transfusions during his 8 months of chemotherapy. To find out if you can give blood visit www.blood.co.uk
June sees us attending lots of events to continue raising funds and awareness as well as organising events for the families to enjoy. We will be visiting Twycross Zoo in a couple of weeks and some of the children will be going horse riding soon too.
We are continually grateful to be working in partnership with Be Child Cancer Aware. Since January Trustees Shirley and Karen have contacted 74 primary schools within Northamptonshire and sent out over 11,000 childhood cancer signs and symptoms awareness cards. They still have a lot of schools to contact and unfortunately not all agree to send the cards home for us but Alfe's Cause are trying to reach as many families as possible to offer them the knowledge that wasn't available to us when our children were diagnosed.
We are also now on Twitter: alfescausekids.
