We are over the moon to announce that we came second in the Lloyd's Community Fund meaning we have been awarded £3,000. Thank you to everyone who voted for us. This money means we can now move into the next phase of developing what Alfe's Cause provides. It's going to take a while behind the scenes to get everything in place but it will all be worth it and benefit families within Northamptonshire. Firstly we aim to raise childhood cancer awareness signs and symptoms within the county, secondly we will be setting up a parental support group for families whose children are in remission and post treatment and thirdly we will be working with Poppy's Place who will provide counselling for children and their families affected by cancer. As well as this we will be continuing our monthly activity meetings. We will need to apply for more funding in the future but for now we are so grateful for this award to be able to lay the foundations towards hopefully making a difference.
