Making wishes come true

Easter weekend has been busy for Alfe's Cause with our first activity meeting as a charity where 22 children and their adults met at Stanwick Lake to go on an Easter egg trail. Some of the picture clues were a little tricky for the adults but the kids still got the prizes because they worked out the over all answer.
On Sunday we organised a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" themed party for Alfie, a little boy with DIPG (an inoperable brain tumour), whose wish it was to meet Willy Wonka. Trustee Shirley worked her magic to make sure Willy Wonka was there and because it was a special occasion Shirley and Karen dressed up as Oompa Loompas.
Everyone had a lovely afternoon and Alfie was pleased he had met the "real" Willy Wonka.
