The following charities have either been supported by us, supported Alfe during his illness, or we have worked in partnership with them.

It's aims are to enrich the lives of local children like her by helping towards much specialised equipment that is not funded by the health service.

http://www.alfiebearsjourney.co.uk/ - Alfie died aged 6 of DIPG. Alfie's family mission is to raise as much awareness as possible to highlight the symptoms of this deadly cancer. They also want to raise money for paediatric brain tumour research, DIPG research in particular. They hope that one day a cure will be found and other children and families do not have to hear such a poor prognosis.
They are a supporter group for 'The Brain Tumour Charity (Their Charity Reg No: 1150054) and aim to
to raise over £10,000 so they are able to choose the area of research that the funds raised from Alfie's Journey Fund will be allocated to.

http://www.bechildcanceraware.org/ - BE CHILD CANCER AWARE was the first UK charity to produce and deliver an awareness card. It displays the most common signs and symptoms found in children, when some form of childhood cancer is present. They were also the first UK charity to develop a FREE I-Phone application, also displaying these same signs and symptoms. It is due to taking this initiative step that some children have received an earlier diagnosis, increasing their chance of a cure because an early diagnosis saves lives.
